The Mercedes-AMG GT family has a new member in the form of GT S Roadster, thus being the last of the trio of cars of this brand. Mercedeses GT, GTC with higher performance and GT S serve as a new offering of mid-range vehicles. By their performance and specific characteristics they secure their position in the GT Roadster family.
A number of Roadster sports cars is proud of the fact that the new version of Mercedes-AMG GT S Roadster is driven by a four-litre twin turbocharger V8 with 515 horsepower with torque of 670 Nm. The luxury car is designed with less weight, but maximum power. The new vehicle boasts seven-speed transmission Speedshift DCT which is standard for all AMG GT models.
GT S Roadster achieves acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds, which is about 0.2 seconds faster than GT Roadster, but about 0.1 seconds slower than GT C. It reaches maximum speed of 308 km/h.
The interior features only top-quality luxury materials, available in almost all categories of interior equipment. The interior of AMG GT S Roadster is fitted with sports seats done in artificial leather ARTICO of microfibre Dinamica and other leading-edge materials to permanently provide you with comfort, even when zipping past at considerable speed. Interior accessories of silver chromium provide a beautiful contrast. In addition to the usual all-black design, you can also get nappa leather with accents of Auburn Brown, Red Pepper and Silver Pearl. Finally, you can opt for yellow, grey or red contrasting seams. It may be assumed that GT and GT C vehicles will be of similar enough price tag. AMG GT Roadster ranges from $124,400. AMG GT S Roadster will probably cost around $145,000. GT S will be introduced in the market probably in 2019.
