The hosts of the Czech Lion were Petr Uhlík and his wife Andrea Uhlík Berecková. They spent several hours diligently preparing for the evening. In the interview, they revealed, among other things, what they are willing to sacrifice for the role and vice versa, where their acting boundaries lie. We also talked about what it's like to live in a village, where the couple moved.
Unbelievable stress. Not just from the nomination, but overall from this social event, which I don't find very pleasant, in the sense that I am not very used to large gatherings and when they happen, I am agitated.
Andrea: We were preparing thanks to Vogue since two in the afternoon, so I feel like it should end already and yet it is just beginning. It is much more pleasant than I thought, so that's fine.
Honestly, I don't sense any competition.
We know all the boys and girls very well and we have a great friendship with each other and I don't deal with it in terms of any competition. I think it's wonderful that there are so many people, who are in our generation, suddenly meeting here in this one year and it's good information for me that this is an environment where people we know very well are moving around, and not just people who say are already far from us.
Probably not. It's more about someone writing it well. I think it's right that I don't have any dreamed roles because I don't know what will be created.
I would do absolutely anything for a role.
I guess I don't care what it would involve.
Andrea: Yes, being an actress myself, I am understanding. Well, I hope I am understanding, but sometimes it is challenging. On the other hand, if I had such an opportunity like Petr, I would do it too.
Petr: I don't know about that.
But I guess I wouldn't want to play the role of a serial killer again, that's becoming tiring for me and I feel like the work on that box would be too much.
Actually, no, I feel that it is now important to choose things that are different and it is now up to me to show a different path.
Andrea: I have absolutely no problem with nudity.
I'm thinking about that I probably couldn't kill an animal.
That would indeed be hard for me.
Andrea: I feel that by moving away from Prague, we have gained a bit of perspective. We live in a small village, where there's only nineteen of us, so it's easier to isolate ourselves from what's happening and filter the information a bit.
True, but the things happening more in the world than in the Czech Republic really scare us.
I feel like we have blinders on and we don't want to admit that some major changes are coming.
Petr: I perceive it the same way. We are discussing this together.
Andrea: At the end of March, dad will arrive and I have received a huge greenhouse from Petr and his friends, so a greenhouse will be built. I am looking forward to it.
Petr: The first garden event.
Petr: Not much, but I'm trying.
My main effort is to look good, like a professional, which is important.
But it's new and it's important to admit that it's new and not pretend that I'm a world master.
Andrea: I did not get one, but we dedicated the entire day to this evening. Even though we celebrated IWD, because there were many women and girls where we were preparing, so we had a lot of female energy around us.
