Zdeněk Svěrák with Jaroslav Uhlíř in O2 Arena

Do your children like songs by the musical duo Zdeněk Svěrák and Jaroslav Uhlíř? Who doesn’t, right? If the answer is yes, then they will be thrilled and so will you!

Why is that? At the end of October, they will be playing a concert in Prague. You can enjoy this luxurious event on two dates, because Jaroslav Uhlíř and Zdeněk Svěrák as a singing duo are celebrating fifty years on the musical scene.

The luxury concert of Jaroslav Uhlíř and Zdeněk Svěrák will take place on 28 October 2017, which is just a few days from now. The show is called Trvalky and you can look forward to popular songs by the famous singing duo.

You will doubtless here songs like Není nutno, Krávy, krávy or Mravenčí ukolébavku. If you have smaller children, this performance is just the thing for them!

Two dates

An advantage is that the show is taking place at two times, on 28 October at 1 a.m. and again on the same day starting at 5 p.m.

With this performance, the duo will be celebrating fifty years on the music scene. That is quite a luxurious anniversary, we have to say!

First time at O2 Arena

Another interesting fact about this event is that Svěrák and Uhlíř will be performing for the audience for the first time in Prague’s massive O2 Arena, which is usually the venue that hosts concerts by globally famous, luxury performers, be it bans or soloists. It’s wonderful that domestic artists have an opportunity to succeed in a venue of this type.

We wish Uhlíř and Svěrák all the best. Surviving on the show business scene for fifty years, that’s really worth something!

One thing is certain. Their songs are immortal and there probably isn’t anybody who doesn’t know at least one. So head out with your children to sing along and enjoy the luxurious atmosphere at the arena located right next to Prague’s Českomoravská metro station.

Beyond, Staroměstké náměstí

Because the aim of the festival is to spread it out into numerous Prague districts, two routes have been prepared for visitors this year. The Centrum route has 15 stops, is 5.8 km long and takes about 3.5 hours. The Vinohrady route has 5 tops, is 2.2 km long and can be done in an hour and a half.

We are bringing you 5 highlights from this year’s festival!

3D video mapping and light tunnel

The Tyršův Dům building will feature 3D video mapping projection called Multiverse, created by Spanish artist Filip Roca. Make sure you don’t miss the light tunnel called Beyond, which you can enter on Old Town Square.

HEARDT interactive piano

You can play this luxurious piano surrounded by a structure shaped like a giant heart, named Heardt (a combination of the English words “heart” and “to be heard”) in Haštalské Street. The light from the piano, which has also been invited to the American Burning Man festival, responds to what the player plays, meaning that the viewer can play a role.

Novelty on St. Ludmila church

Video mapping on the Church of St. Ludmila on Náměstí Míru is traditionally one of the most visited projections. This year, there will be a display by French artist Yann Nguema, who is at the forefront of his field at present. But that’s not all!

To celebrate the 5th birthday, every evening at 11 p.m. all 5 video maps created for this Prague landmark in the history of the festival will be shown. You can look forward to a truly deluxe experience!

Vladimir 518 and Man Machine

One of the most striking personalities on our cultural scene, musician and artist Vladimir 518, created an almost living creature, the Man Machine installation, in collaboration with other artists within the SPAM audio-visual project. It is expected to be the most photographed object this year, and you should certainly see it for yourself. It is essentially a machine, a statue made of many audio-visual components, such as heads, projectors, blinders and lasers. It will be on display at TJ Sokol Vinohrady.

The luxurious festival also has an accompanying program, a gallery zone that includes 4 galleries and a SIGNAL CALLING section that presents interesting projects by the younger generation. All the information is available on the festival website, including a map to download. We wish you a luxurious audio-visual experience!
