Fashion weeks are luxurious renowned events in the world of fashion. However, not always will you find well turned-out models which you could put on. Although it is expected that some pieces are not wearable, we have found some collections that were reminiscent of fashion from the outer space or a circus. London Fashion Week has offered a view of FW 18 collections whose style will literally take your breath away. This does not belong into the wardrobe!
We would like to introduce to you fashion brands which showcased real hell at the London Fashion Week. Their collections are among those most bizarre and we cannot imagine that someone could wear that. Crazy details, overdone colours, monstrous models and combinations of the uncombinable - it all just left an unpleasant experience. How can such fashion get to such an exclusive event?
Students of University of Westminster showed their artistic spirit at the Fashion Week; in respect of every detail of their models. But do not expect fashion inspiration, because these rather resemble movie or theatre costumes. Red garb of stitched millions of pieces of fabric together, accompanied by a long-fingered glove and severe expression of the model - perhaps the worst combination there can be. The female models in turn are reminiscent of fashion from the outer space, which, unfortunately, has no limits. This is certainly not what we call luxury fashion.
A girl as from a sweet shop or a horror film. Designer Amy Thomson in her FW 18 collection presented an overly sweet pink dress, in several styles at the same time - frilled one, and two resembling a balloon and a cake. The models in pink dresses with pictures, plush teddy bears and other tragic details make a rather nightmarish impression.
The colourful collection combining several strange creations at the same time did not find any understanding on our part. Perhaps we are just lacking insight, of the kind of designer Ashis Gupta during the creation of his crazy models. We can imagine how the collection reminiscent of a clown, hippies, circus and holiday in Hawaii came to be: a beach, long drinks and a Hawaiian necklace around the neck. Although it is a very funny collection, it is from our perspective absolutely unwearable.
Although the London Fashion Week was full of beauties, it could not go by without the usual dose of shows full of terror and horrors. First of all, we have the student creations of the University of Westminster. As I myself had, about twice, modelled for students, I am well aware that in this direction essentially all bets are placed on something mad. Unfortunately in England they have overdone it a little having turned one black model into some sweaty marching insect. We really don´t want to see that!
The collection of Amy Thomson almost made me laugh. Her pink madness totally brought to my mind the notorious (short-lived) headmistress of Harry Potter´s Hogwarts - Dolores Jane Umbridge. That is the evil woman with pink suits and cats around the walls. I think that she would be the only person (and on top of that only a fictitious) that would appreciate this disgustingly ugly pink collection by Thomson.
Also in the finals here we have the very crazy rainbow Ashish collection, which sounds like hashish. Well, what is one to say: this is certainly targeted only for the Japanese market, because here in Europe one could get arrested. HORRIBLE!
