Do you enjoy tradition and history, but don’t know where to go on a trip during the Christmas holidays? Don’t be afraid to set out to experience the magic of the holiday season at our castles and chateaus. We offer you some recommendations for a slightly different Christmas experience.
Kozel Chateau – Christmas tours
When: 23rd December 2018, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Entrance fee: depending on the event
Tours of the garden centre will take place under the direction of Mr V. Vlach from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (always on the hour). The tour lasts approx. 30 minutes and the ticket costs CZK 50.
Červené Poříčí Chateau – will be offering visitors the Light of Bethlehem
When: 23 December 2018, 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Entrance fee: free
Visit the chateau chapel and obtain the Light of Bethlehem for your home before Christmas Eve.
Bouzov Castle – Bouzov gift giving
When: 24 December 2018, 3 – 5 p.m.
Entrance fee: CZK 220
Special tours on Christmas Eve with gifts in the Knight’s Hall. You can bring your gifts and give them to each other under the castle tree. The tour can only be reserved by telephone.
Chvalský Chateau– Live nativity scene
When: 24 December 2018 at 2 p.m.
Entrance fee: free
You can sing Christmas carols and songs with singer Klára Jelínková and the Boží nadělení band from the Parish of Saint Ludmila in the courtyard and admire the nativity scene made from hay and straw from the workshop of Jana Sedláková.
Horšovský Týn Chateau – Christmas 2018
When: 26 December 2018, 10 a.m. - 31 December 2018, 3 p.m.
Entrance fee: depending on the event
The gates of the chateau in Horšovský Týn are also traditionally open after Christmas. You can visit the tour routes in the chateau embellished with Christmas decorations or the kitchens smelling of Christmas.
Hrubý Rohozec Chateau – Christmas tours
Entrance fee: depending on the event
When: 26 December 2018 10 a.m. -, 31 December 2018 2 p.m.
Visitors will be able to see interiors decorated with Christmas decorations, a carved nativity scene in the chateau chapel and can listen to tales about the history of the chateau and its owners and about Christmas traditions.
Vranov nad Dyjí Chateau – Christmas 2018
When: 26 December 2018, 10:30 a.m. – 27 December 2018, 2 p.m.
Entrance fee: CZK 50
Let yourself be enchanted by the most beautiful halls at the chateau in Vránov, which we exceptionally open to visitors during the winter period.
Bouzov Castle – Christmas 2018
When: 26 December 2018, 3 p.m. – 27 December 2018, 5 p.m.
Entrance fee: CZK 170 adults, CZK 120 reduced fee, CZK 460 family fee
Tours of the castle with Christmas decorations. Come and sing Christmas carols with us in the 1st courtyard during the Christmas holidays.
Christmas at the chateau in Velké Losiny
When: 28 December 2018, 10 a.m. – 31 December 2018, 2 p.m.
Entrance fee: CZK 180
Come and visit our Christmas chateau. We will talk about Christmas traditions, show you the chateau decorated for Christmas and you can also look forward to tasting foods from the 19th century.
New Year’s Eve at Bouzov Castle
When: 31 December 2018, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
Entrance fee: depending on the event
Come and pass the time waiting for New Year with a tour of Bouzov Castle.
New Year’s Eve at the chateau in Mníšek pod Brdy
