Visit the biggest culinary competition Gastro Hradec, March 30, 2017
The East Bohemia chapter of the Association of Chefs and Pastry Chefs of the Czech Republic, based in Hradec Králové, is holding the traditional, 22nd annual luxury culinary competition, where master chefs from the Czech Republic and surrounding countries will meet. This clash of 220 chefs and pastry chefs will be witnessed by over 5,000 pairs of curious eyes of professionals and the general public alike. For the 12th year in a row, the titles of Master Chef and Pastry Chef will be awarded.
As always, Gastro Hradec will take place at the Aldis Congress Center, which, for this one day, will transform into an irresistible, luxurious display of delectable exhibits from first-rat chefs and pastry chefs. The popular carving competition will be back, in which the masters will demonstrate their skills under a time limit before your eyes. This year also you will be able to participate in competitions for the public, based on Easter traditions. The program will include presentations by our foremost, celebrity experts. In addition to all of this, you will be able to shop luxuriously at the trade show.
Competitions for Masters and The Public
This year, you can look forward to competitions in the following categories: Chef, Pastry Chef, Acrobat, Decorative Gingerbreads, Carving (carving of fruits and vegetables), The Taste of Bohemia Bartscher Cup.
Also included will bet a competition for groups, for Best Pastry Shop 2017, and a competition for the public for Best Easter Lamb 2017 and Best Easter Stuffing 2017.
The competition judging committee is comprised of the foremost experts and celebrities from the culinary world, and each category will be judged by 5 commissioners. But you too can be part of an expert jury! Decide on the best pepper sauce in the Taste of Bohemia Bartscher Cup competition.
