The more we lose something, the more we yearn for it. The modern age has segregated us from nature and we now long to renew our relationship with it more than ever. Our desire for a touch of green has gone so far that we’ve started planting trees in our homes. Will stately deciduous trees in our rooms become a new trend?
Luxury decorations in the form of living trees are most often placed in spacious halls and generously designed spaces. They no longer surprise us in the foyers of hotels or large companies, cafes or restaurants. Will trees also become a feature of our luxury homes?
Some architectural companies have been working on similar contracts for several years. People around the world long for original and modern interiors, which gain a whole new dimension with a living tree. Try to imagine your living room with a rare tree in the middles, whose canopy reaches up to the ceiling. A luxurious idea? Definitely.
In our gallery, we present the interiors of hotels and restaurants where a tree is the focal point of the entire space. The interior of the Italian KOOK pizzeria, based on a design by the Noses Architects studio, is dominated by an olive tree, a symbol of wisdom, longevity and Mediterranean energy. The Norwegian architects from the Haptic Architects studio incorporated the living element of trees and “grassy walls” into the interior of the Expo Hotel. The design of the new wing of the Charleroi Photography Museum in Belgium was created by L'Escaut Architects, which used luxurious live trees to enhance the relaxation area.|
We also offer a peek at luxurious private homes where live trees have found a place of their own.
