It has been just under a month since the Master Pepper robot, which was created by Prague Airport and the Mastercard Company, made its home at Prague Airport. And it evidently likes it here. But in order to get an answer from it you have to speak English, it can’t speak Czech, it can only understand Czech by means of a touchpad located on its chest.
For the time being the main role of Master Pepper is entertainment, so if you are running around the airport in confusion, you’d better not rely on too much help from your robotic friend. At most it will refer you to the closest information stand, but it will also perform a little dance and happily pose for a selfie with you.
Technologies are very important for airports, as demonstrated by the act that the airport has it own laboratory, which develops such new technologies. In the case of the robot, the airport sought inspiration from its neighbours in other countries and when it saw how well robots worked elsewhere (they are an entertaining diversion for travellers and can even help them), they decided to test their own robot in Prague.
You can acquaint yourself with Master Pepper personally the next time you are flying. He is available every day from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
