It's hard to believe that the famous jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co. has been on the market for almost 200 years already! Its story began in 1837 and now, 182 years later, kicked off the Vision ad Virtuosity world exhibition in Shanghai, which is conceptualized as a journey through the history of the brand and its key moments.
Vision and Virtuosity is Tiffany's largest exhibition to date, and it's divided into six chapters. Those reflect among others many of the brand's historic firsts, such as introducing the very first engagement ring Tiffany Setting. The exhibition also reveals the pioneering brand's cultural impact and the revolutionary approach to design, or commemorates the iconic movie picture Breakfast at Tiffany's.
The Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson who took home the famous award for the drama Room in 2016 couldn't miss the opening of the exhibition. The American actress showed up in China in a gorgeous tube dress by Rosario. She naturally paired it up with Tiffany & Co. jewelry. She piece she wore was a necklace with a unique 5ct yellow-green diamond and more than 19ct white diamonds.
Chinese actress Gong Li who we'd never guess to be 53 years old also attended the opening of the exhibition! She wore elegant black, and her wrist was decorated with a shiny Tiffany & Co. bracelet containing more than 86ct diamonds.
The grand opening was followed by a luxurious party on a rooftop. Let's be real, Shanghai is a little out of the way for many, and so this party had to go without having more mega stars such as Brie Larson, having to settle mainly for local celebrities.
The unique and spectacular exhibition filled with luxurious jewelry can be seen until November 10, and the proceeds from sold tickets will be donated to the nonprofit organization Fosun Foundation and its charity programs.
