This Baroque jewel in ochre and white was created in the middle of an extensive park and pond complex and its beauty and luxury is attractively reflected in the artificially created ponds. A beautiful place made for filming famous fairy tales.

The Exhibition about Cinderella is being held for the 7th time. This year’s innovation is the newly conceived final chamber, which is devoted to romantic love. Another new item at the Baroque chateau is also the newly opened stone chamber (Steinsaal) with a collection of hunting trophies.

This beautiful moated chateau in Saxony is named after Duke Maurice of Saxony, who had a hunting residence built here in 1542. During the rule of Prince Elector August the Strong from 1723, the chateau was magnificently rebuilt under the direction of Matthäus Daniel Pöpplmann, the well-known architect of the Zwinger in Dresden. He created a suitable environment for his lively celebrations.
