What we will now introduce to you is not a bridge, but just looking at this luxury glass trail, built at the height where eagles normally reign, may cause a proper dizzy spell to some.
Zhangjiajie National Forest is an area which can be found in central China, in the province of Hunan, about 1,000 kilometres from Shanghai and Beijing. The area is known for its high peaks, transparent streams, dense forests and huge karst caves. If you look at the photographs, they may seem familiar to you. Avatar? Yes, the landscape from the Avatar film was inspired by this charming area.
Here you can find beautiful sceneries that can be best enjoyed - what else - from a height. You have perhaps already heard of the longest and highest-placed skywalk in the world, which connects two local mountains above the canyon. But what about the trail that runs along the rocky mountain at a height of 1,403 metres? For a better experience it is also covered by glass and just looking at it may cause discomfort. Would you have the courage to walk along it?
You can find it on the Tianmen Mountain, it is 100 metres long and just 1.6 metres wide. It is known as Coiling Dragon Cliff skywalk. If you have a weak heart, don´t even think about it! If you are afraid of heights, stay on terra firma. Those of you, who surpass the initial fear, will be rewarded by an astonishing experience of a lifetime. At least it is said so.
The luxury trip around the giant mountains was opened to the public in 2016 and in addition to it and the longest glass skywalk in the world you can find in this natural park the longest cableway; of 7 kilometres in length. Zhangjiajie National Forest is becoming a luxury destination of travellers, for whom a proper dose of adrenalin is a life-time challenge.
