Stromovka

Royal Game Preserve - luxurious greenery

In the 19th century it was renamed to Stromovka. But note that it is not only the trees, that make this site so exceptional and appealing. It is located in Praha-Bubeneč and today has the form of an English park, situated around a summer palace. Both sights are protected cultural monuments and the Stromovka park was opened to public in 1804.

Walks in Stromovka park are romantic during any season of the year. Couples may find a number of hidden romantic corners and benches; sports enthusiasts on the other hand have enough space for jogging or cycling. Also beneficial is a walk to restore peace of your mind, when you let your senses relax. Just listen to bird songs and the music of wind in branches of the omnipresent greenery. Green is a soothing colour for the eyes. So let´s et out, into nature, to Stromovka!

Notable buildings

Part of this site that stretches across an area of about 88.7 hectares and whose history dates back to the year of 1268, are also interesting places, such as the Bubeneč tunnel the Prague Planetarium, Rudolph Adit and Šlechta´s restaurant. In addition to the buildings, the luxuriously dazzling greenery, there are also water reservoirs and small ponds. Nature with all the beauties in the city centre.

A truly lively park

This is evidenced by the large number of visitors here; amounting to around four million of in-line skaters, cyclists, mothers with prams, and similar. Besides the fact that serves for recreational and sports purposes or cultural events, it is important also from the point of its arboreal composition. Children may learn to identify generally-known trees, but also the less known, such as ginkgo biloba, white oak and a number of ornamental cherry species. For children the complex offers a well-maintained, certified playground.

Na Skalce

Prague Smíchov is a desired location, sought after by those who want to live in vicinity of the town and at the same time to be able to relax in luxurious greenery. From the Smíchov tube station Anděl, you come into the historic centre within a few minutes and from the bus station Na Knížecí you can easily reach even the peripheral parts of Prague.

Distant by its character, but easy to reach from the busy Anděl tube station

If you live in Smíchov, you do not need to go far to find green parks or interesting architecture. Before Smíchov became a commercial centre, it was a quiet area where in the last century grew several interesting, but above all, stately, luxury villas. These were designed for the upper classes, factory owners and businessmen.

Such villas may be seen especially in the beautiful and pleasant location, in the streets nearby the orchards Na Skalce and the Santoška park. When you walk through this remarkable part of Smíchov, the buzz around the Anděl tube station will seem like a distant place, with nothing in common with this oasis full of greenery, tall trees and beautiful villas.

Luxurious villas in the vicinity of the much-desired greenery

It is the above parks which represent an ideal place for walks, relaxation, running or cycling. And it is just a few steps from a district full of prestigious villas! Some of them originate from the beginning of the last century, boast unique architecture, decorative façades, high ceilings and spacious interior. Living in such a villa is the dream of many of those for whom Prague is the affair of the heart.

Some of the villas have been sensitively renovated, while others are undergoing refurbishment at the moment. Even the original architect, Miroslav Wagner, would certainly be proud of his own, from 1912, if he saw its new coat of paint. Although it offers modern and luxurious accommodation, it still retains its original historical appearance, which makes it even more attractive.

Currently the location offers apartments for sale. How would you like such a luxurious accommodation housing?
