For the SS19 spring and summer Isabel Marant prepared n incredibly sexy and chic collection which will interest not only young women, but the older generation, too. The show was carried in disco style: the background from which the beautiful models emerged was of sparkling curtain, which constantly threw light reflections across the room. What kind of models did Isabel Marant prepare?

Inspiration was derived from the late 70's and early 80's: disco style and denim
The period which fashion designer of luxury clothing, Isabel Marant loved, was precisely that of the end of the 70´s and early 80's, when the legendary New York club, Studio 54 was past its hayday and everyone started to listen to hip-hop. And this change was also reflected in fashion. There was an upsurge in luxury denim and metallic fabrics. The SS19 collection of Isabel Marant is full of irresistible funky denim jackets, interestingly-tailored clothes, embroidered blouses with sparkly details. You will also be able to find here untraditional pieces, such as shiny disco dresses, skirts, tops and leather outfits.
As regards the cuts, the collection is very bold, but there are also some more conservative pieces
In the SS19 collection we mainly enjoy its playfulness and sophistication. Some models reveal quite a lot of bare skin and others on the contrary hide everything. When looking at the outfits, it is obvious that oversize is still in, as seen in the denim jackets, shirts or dresses. Women, who like to show their assets will certainly appreciate the closer-fitted models from the collection. Those shiny dresses, overalls and trousers.
The colour palette is rather cool. You will find here a few shades of blue, up to black or white. The more adventurous tones include metallic silver, bronze and blue.

With this designer of luxury clothing it is very easy to fall in love also with the footwear. The SS19 collection includes really well-turned-out pairs, from ruched high boots below the knee, or the musketeer style all the way to beautiful dainty sandals which would elegantly complement the disco dress of metallic shade.

The French brand of Isabel Marant really let her hair down with the SS collection!
From the very first moment my foot tapped the floor in the rhythm of my favourite hit fro 1979 from Earth, Wind & Fire - Boogie Wonderland. And even in the course of the show I didn´t want to stop. This is perfection!
From the variety of glittering dresses, I was most attracted by the silver mini one with a dainty crossover, tied behind the neck. That is exactly the piece for an unbelievable ride in the style of "Saturday Night Fever"! Only this dress, strappy sandals by Jimmy Choo and a mini handbag Chanel Resin, Strass & Silver-Tone Metal. And where could you dance in Prague in such a dress to a bit of retro music? Certainly, in the Cafe 80's in Staré Město, Prague!
To conclude, we were able to enjoy the more tender-hearted part of the show, which certainly surprised us. I personally have been mesmerised by the cream-coloured shorts with ruching, in combination with a floaty blouse revealing the arms and black boots. And what can I say, even that knitted handbag would come in handy. I envisage that for a pleasant spring stroll with a dog, along the lightly blooming Stromovka park. But since I have a golden retriever, who will only be one and half by then, in something like that I would in the end probably look as if run over by a lawnmower. :)
