Na začátku bylo deset tanečních párů, zbylo jich pět.

StarDance is not only about beautiful dresses, perfect dancers, famous personalities and dance, but also about helping others. For the fourth time, competition couples will also dance with wheelchair bound clients of the Paraple Center. Matouš Ruml will present chacha with Lucie, who´s heart has suddenly “burst”, what caused her paralysis and the fisherman Jakub Vágner and Eliška, who fell on the bike, will amaze the audience with tango.

This is a whole new experience for all competitors. Although it is enlivening for them, they admit that to combine a partner, guest and a person in a wheelchair on the dance floor is quite a toil. Professionals will sweat with choreography for four.

Matouš Ruml admits that he has a problem to dance alone in this line-up because Natálie Otáhalová always leads him. Now he has a passage where he has to rely on himself.

Ruptured aorta

Less than three years ago, Lucie got her lower part of legs paralyzed due to a sudden aorta rupture. The consequence was the necrosis of the thoracic spinal cord, which caused immobility in the limbs.

“No one really knows what happened and why, but it will be almost three years now, I learned to live with it. At Paraple Center, they showed me that wheelchair life doesn't have to be bad, ”

smiles the mother of five children.

She avoided the car

Eliška Šulcová devoted her whole life to sports. When riding a bike from the Austrian mountains, she has badly avoided a parked car. Unfortunately, she did not take a sharp turn and fatally broke her spinal cord during a fall.

“I've been in a wheelchair for 11 years. But I never got used to it. You can't get used to it, ”

says a 38-year-old woman saying that she has tried many sports thanks to the Paraple Center. Both ladies take the opportunity to dance in StarDance as a homage. All week they trained hard with the dancers and will show their best on Saturday.
