Hermès is considered as being one of the world’s most valuable luxury brands, one that sets new trends in the fashion industry. What will the new collection bring for us?
In the elegant collection of luxury clothing Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski, the Creative Director of the brand, used the famous Big Shoulders silhouette from the 1980’s. You can see shirts with padded shoulders and diagonal zip pockets that are tucked into the luxurious high-waisted trousers.
The relaxed and natural Parisian style is underscored by earthy colours. Spring green-grey coats over beige colour dresses give the collection an interesting contrast. Standing out in this collection are luxurious items in bright yellow and shocking pink colours. There are also sophisticated knits in elegant styles.
If it lacked leather it could certainly not be a Hermès collection. It was with this luxury material that the brand first entered the market over 150 years ago. Leather can be found in short sexy spring jackets, in looser shirts and in long skirts.
This fashion house was founded in 1837 in Paris and Thierry Hermès was behind establishing it. As is suggested by the logo, which has remained almost unchanged over all these years, everything started with the production of leather harnesses and bridles for horses. They were always of the highest quality, however, and the brand’s clientele used to be esteemed European nobles. The brand also received an award from the Royal Court. In 1922 they came-out with a series of handbags, of which the most famous was the iconic Kelly bag that was first popularised in 1956 by the famous Grace Kelly. Also, following-up on this success there were scarves, neckties, perfumes, shoes and other actual clothing.
