This time it was her turn to start off Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week at the 5th floor of Kotva Department Store with her newest collection. What about her models caught our attention?
The Melania Freire FW 2019 collection can mostly be characterized as light and airy.
The loose tops are, however, so light that they completely stifle any form of feminine curves. The shirts cover the entire top half of the body, often only revealing shoulders or cleavage. Not even the pants and skirts reveal much and they indicate nothing about the figure of the wearer. Oversize is very in at the moment, isn't it a pity though?
Pajamas, kimonos or luxurious pieces for the beach?
Some models reminded us of classical pajamas, some we'd be glad to take out to a luxurious beach. The chosen colors and patterns dabble in retro. Orange with blue is a clear example. What to do with such clothes in daily life? Every creative soul would figure it out for sure, and combined with a more feminine, luxurious element, the overall look could be okay. Why is the designer making it needlessly complicated for us remains in question though.

The Spanish designer Melania Freire is a huge novelty for me, because I haven't heard anything about her work yet. In general we could say that she embodies some sort of a big "unknown" that is hard to grasp, and even understand in general.
Her selection of loose cut, over-sized blouses, dresses and pantsuits isn't really my cup of tea. To me it looks unfinished; after checking out all of these models I won't think back to this fashion show ever again.
So if you are planning to go for a holiday somewhere and do it totally incognito, go for a beige striped ladies suit. You'll hardly even manage to order orange juice after sitting at a restaurant unnoticed for ten minutes!
