Sophistication and the lady in black dominate the FW 18 Yves Saint Laurent collection
The Yves Saint Laurent collection presented in Paris was held, as always, against the romantic, breathtaking background of the illuminated Eiffel Tower. Thanks to this, the show had a fabulous atmosphere. Aside from the pride of Paris, however, surprisingly unusual models were introduced in the new FW 18 collection. Everything started with a woman in black, continued with exclusive evening dresses, and ended in a colourful explosion. Designer of the fashion house, Anthony Vaccarello, simply knows how to put on the best show.

A collection inspired by twentieth century fashion with elements of rock'n'roll
When looking at the new luxury Yves Saint Laurent FW 18 collection, the only thing we can say is WOW. The designs are full of ideas, sophistication, and luxury elements, and they embrace women's curves perfectly. The designer was inspired by twentieth century nightwear, when women wore plunging necklines, tight-fitting dresses, and hats covering their faces. All this was complemented by elements of harsh rock'n'roll, typical for the designer.
Starring revealing sexy models and dangerously high shoes on platforms
In the first part of the show, refined revealing designs were presented, which mostly combined a leather bottom with a transparent top or plunging V-neckline, but which did not seem vulgar at all, only sexy. Retro make-up gave a final touch of perfection to the fashion pieces, as it provided the models a good dose of glamour.
The designer stays loyal to the traditional YSL style, but adds a bigger twist to it
Evening dress are among the most luxurious pieces of the fashion house, which is why the designer devoted more attention to them. A blend of long dresses with elegant necklines, dangerous mini dresses with huge flowers around the neck, chest or sleeve are sexy, chic and fashionable. Their smooth material perfectly embraces the body and highlights beautiful female curves.
The biggest boom came at the end of the spectacular show
Although the entire show was wonderful, we were most intrigued by the finale, when models in detailed, glittering, refined, deep-cut and colorful dresses entered the scene. Short dresses were decorated with flowers made of stones or sequins and created a unique effect. This is what you call the luxurious and courageous fashion we want to see!

Don't be afraid of deep cleavage!
I was thrilled by Yves Saint Laurent's latest collection! Dominating black combined with sexy cuts: yes, that is something for me! Right from the start, when a model in a big hat, tight sexy bodysuit with a neckline, a chic jacket and sexy shorts entered the catwalk, I immediately wanted to wear the same thing!
If I ignore the floral dress with giant shoulder pads, I cannot seem to find a single tiny flaw anywhere. For example, the design with ultra short shorts and an absolutely exquisite black fur fox coat complemented by shining earrings: PERFECT! It's not exactly for daytime wear, but I can definitely imagine it for an evening drink in the heart of the city somewhere in a Buddha Bar...
So what is the conclusion? It's the fact that black never grows old and that we should not be afraid of deep cleavage, even after a hot summer. So if you want to impress your date or partner, definitely go for something from Yves Saint Laurent!
