Everything, of course! An interesting installation was the Man Machine by Vladimír 158 and the SPAM group at TJ Sokol Vinohrady. The traditional video mapping on the St. Ludmila Church at Náměstí Míru didn’t disappoint either. And take note! Every evening at 11 p.m. all 5 video mapping concepts shown here in the five-year history of the festival were projected in sequence.
The centre offered experiences in the form of a walk through a light tunnel on Old Town Square, while the shining composition changing shape and emitting signals on the surrounding walls transformed the luxurious, recently reconstructed gardens of the Agnes Convent into a magical labyrinth. In Haštalská Street, you could play on an interactive piano encapsulated in a construction shaped like a huge heart, and become an actor in this luxurious visual experience.
During the SIGNAL festival, you could visit a total of 20 light installations, which were spread around the city centre and Prague 2 this year. 22 artists and art ensembles from 10 countries participated. In addition to the outdoor installations, the organisers also prepared some artistic treats at 4 galleries.
The luxurious light festival ended this Sunday, but you can look forward to another instalment next year. We will be there again for sure!
