Annarita Serra is an artist you can see in Paul & Shark's Milan boutique until Sunday, creating her artwork from pieces of plastic and wood washed up by the sea.
"I've been collecting plastic for twenty years and creating dozens of artworks. I find they have the strength to attract attention and raise awareness of the problem."
Paul & Shark's concept is art and design focused on the ecosystem. The luxury Italian clothing brand has been protecting the environment for many years. During the Design Week in Milan, they invited artist Annarita Serra to their boutique and presented the Save The Sea project together. The aim is to increase awareness of one of the most serious causes of pollution that affects our seas – solid waste!
During the Salone del Mobile (April 17th-22nd), Annarita Serra, whose internal mission is to save the sea, will work live at Paul & Shark in Milan on her Save The Sea artwork. She uses the plastic and wood she has collected while walking on the beaches in her native land on the island of Sardinia.
Directly behind the window of the boutique on Via Montenapoleone 16, you will see how she creates art for the Italian brand based on a love for the sea. Together with the brand, she presents the true DNA of Paul & Shark: water and sea in various meanings.
