Between the 1960s and 1980s in France, but also around the world, it became fashionable to wear a men's style. This was exactly the inspiration for the SS19 collection from the luxurious fashion house Saint Laurent, which features, in addition to classic women's models, men's cuts. Why? Because women also love elements of the other sex.
The show was held in a luxurious evening style with wet floors and a view of the Eiffel tower at one end and palm trees on the other. What does the collection represent?
Black prevails throughout the entire spring and summer collection, which is a signature color of the brand. Black leather shorts, trousers, skirts, dresses, t-shirts, coats, and jackets looked luxurious. Moreover, such a neutral color matches everything. Luckily, however, Saint Laurent did not forget other shades also. Lovers of white, blue and blends of several colors will also find the SS19 collection pleasing.
The collection points to the fact that each of us can wear what we feel good in, no matter how others perceive it. If you want to wear pants, a shirt, jacket and shoes, wear it. That's why many men's elements that look luxurious and elegant on women are present in the SS19 collection as well, because they can duly highlight curves. In addition, it was evident that the fashion house stays true to its beautiful lines of dresses, skirts and other fashionable pieces that flatter the figure.
What we also enjoy about the SS19 collection are the playful and luxurious accessories. The hats that the models wore were very elegant and perfectly complemented each look. Likewise, headbands decorated with stones or thick belts with a silver buckle, which highlighted a slim waist.
I really am absolutely breath-taken, by even the smallest details, such as the water jetty, or the divine view of the Eiffel Tower in the background. A grandiose spectacle!
One of the models that I definitely could not get off my mind for a long time is the interconnection of women's and men's style into a perfect whole. High waist black pants, an elegant hat reminiscent of the Spanish toreador style, a striking ribbon around the neck and finally a short sleeve silver blouse made of fine crystals that revealed everything. This is what I call a BOMB!!! It is not only the original, but above all, despite the revealed nudity it is absolutely elegant and classy. If you have the courage and the nature for such an outfit, go for it!
And to conclude, I must not forget to mention the beautiful velvet mini dress with long sleeves and a brightly decorated stand-up collar. Combined with those black boots it is a very sexy outfit, which definitely will not leave anyone cold. And that's exactly what it's all about, isn't it? For a quick drink at Bar and Books? Why not?
