All guests were welcomed by a drink of champagne or ginger lemonade with divine delicacies on offer, too. We could taste sushi and quail eggs with caviar or a sweet bite in the form of a chocolate macaroon and a coconut lollipop. Could you imagine a better way to see the luxury models?
The Prague boutique was adorned by several luxury models inspired by Princess Diana, including for example extravagant plastic high heels, favoured in the past by Barbados beauty Rihanna, worn at the gala dinner organised by Jimmy Choo and Off-White during the New York Fashion Week also by models Bella Hadid or Naomi Campbell.
Among other celebrities invited to the NYFW luxury dinner who also wore pieces from the new collection, were for example Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Polish supermodel living in New York, Anja Rubik. Both put on a slightly more subtly pair - high heels with a bow. Their black and white version could also be seen at the Parisian Street boutique in Prague.
That is exactly how the Off-White™ c/o Jimmy Choo collection could be characterised. In addition to the trendy heels the Prague boutique also presented high boots of tulle in black and nude shades. Therefore if plastic is too daring for your taste, tulle would be the easier option.
The collection rich on plastic, tulle and floral designs is a very extravagant move of the luxury brand. The question is, whether it will find its fans in the not-too-brave Czech Republic? Let them surprise us.
For me the Off-White™ c/o Jimmy Choo was a disappointment. Despite the fact that this brand has been a favourite of mine for years, this time I realised that we all make mistakes. This represents return to the 1980s in the worst possible form!
Let us be honest about it. One half of us the female population is blessed with slender calves (hurray... I am one of them - even though this is balanced out by the fact that I have to work hard on my abdomen routine) and the other is trying to make them fit through exercise or cover them in all sorts of ways. So why did Jimmy Choo deliberately create a collection where absolutely everyone´s calves are made to look thick?!
On top of it all there are those hideous pyramid-shaped heels. Unfortunately that makes the overall visual effect even worse! Not even talking about the plastic bags glued to the high heels. So if you ever visit the Jimmy Choo boutique in Parisian Street, either choose from the old collection, or just go straight across the street to Dior.
