"Ahhh" will be the sigh of every woman just at a mere thought of the popular designer of luxury shoes, Christian Louboutin. It will not be any different this time round, looking at the new collection of AW 18 Loubi in Progress. That´s because it is different, unique and, above all, meaningful.
The luxury collection which will win you over by its unique design, again defines deconstruction as new construction, displaying stylish iconic technique of "Trash" by beloved Christian Louboutin, which he introduced as far back as AW 11. And believe us, you will love it now, too. These are luxury shoes for women who love extravagance and diversity.
Behind the scenes of the whole process at Louboutin we were able to see how the designer actually creates the shoes. He uses craft paper from shopping bags of the brand which are manually cut and encapsulated in PVC. From this are then made women's luxurious shoes for a special collection, where the designer´s signature is clearly visible. The ankle boots and high heels are added men's stylish sneakers and clutch bags, back packs and other pieces that pride themselves by the same pattern and technique. Every model is very original and a must-have for your wardrobe. Put on it looks exclusive and ones it will be a collectors' piece. Indeed, each of the Louboutin pairs should be exhibited at a museum. Such beauty deserves it.
Other jewels of the collection include luxurious and very high sandals indeed, which have, instead of luxury straps, a measuring tape - they look ravishing! These extravagant shoes are joined in the collection by high heels and handbags, too, which you can find in the prestigious Louboutin boutiques throughout the whole world. Can you resist these beauties?
As regards myself, I have had mixed feelings about this collection from the first moment. I am not quite sure whether this is a pseudo-print "joke", as was the case many years ago at Dior, where we saw Carrie Bradshaw sporting a dress alá newspaper pages around the year 2000 (John Galliano - 2000 couture collection)...or is it something quite different?
A scrawled upon piece of cardboard as luxury shoes worth CZK 22,000? I am now sure I would put my money into cardboard held together by PVC. In addition, in case of those ankle high heels there is on the inside a hideous white zipper! For goodness sake what would I wear with something like that? You cannot even wear it naked … and surely that never goes out of fashion never.
And finally, we have a tape measure high heels. I would put that on only when working on some kind of own fashion project...to instigate in myself some kind of feeling of importance as a "major" fashion designer...haha… But otherwise it again is outside my understanding, being in real life just not suitable for wearing anywhere, with anything. So if you go shopping to a Louboutine boutique...put into the basket those brutally sexy black musketeer boots with intricate lacing. Well what, winter is approaching...as is said in the series “Game of Thrones"!
