The 91. American Film Academy Awards took place in Los Angeles. The film of the year is Green book, and four Oscars were given to the picture Bohemian Rhapsody (Best actor, Best Film Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing).
In the category of best song, the winner was the fantastic duet Shallow from the film A Star Was Born, the award was accepted by Lady Gaga, who then together with Bradley Cooper sang at the ceremony.
Rami Malek was awarded an Oscar for his role as Freddie Mercury from the band Queen in the biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody.
The band Queen itself opened the ceremony with the phenomenal songs We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions.
The award for Best Actress was given to Olivia Colman for her role as queen in the historic tragic comedy The Favourite.
The award for Actor and Actress in supporting role was given to Regina King (If Beale Street Could Talk) and actor Mahershala Ali (Green Book). The winning picture Green Book also received an Oscar for Original Screenplay (Nick Vallelonga, Brian Currie and director Peter Farrelly). The Adapted Screenplay Award was given to the story BlacKkKlansman. For film (Roma), Cuarón won the respective awards for Best Directing and Best Camera, and also won in the category Best Foreign Language Film.
The Best Feature Film is the animated picture Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, an Oscar was won by the short animated film Bao. This year’s fantastic ceremony occurred without a central host. Kevin Hart withdrew from the dreamed of post due to his late jokes concerning homosexuals.
