5. This devoted philantropist doesn't shy away from donating money
Bezos Expedetions donated about $ 20 million (CZK 460 million) to various educational projects. He also donated $ 25 million, (575 million Czech crowns), to the fight against cancer at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

6. He started with books, but not on a small scale
In 1995, during his first months in business, Amazon was already selling its books in 50 states and 45 international affiliates. The first book they sold was "Fluid Conception and Creative Analogy: Computer Models of Basic Thinking Mechanisms" by Douglas R. Hofstadter. 7. He's the owner of The Washington Post
