Michael Kováčik FW19

The luxurious collections by the Slovak designer operating in the Czech Republic, Michael Kováčik, earn admiration from many Czech celebrities. They appear at his shows frequently, and yesterday's one was no exception.

You might not have met the Czech prime minister accompanied by his wife there, as you were able to at the Fashion Week in September, but some famous people still flashed past. Taťána Makarenko, Matyáš Hložek or Zorka Hejdová couldn't miss this show. Once again, phenomenal!

Discreet, imaginative and really sexy

On the runways of Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week, we're used to regularly seeing models that fit this kind of event and the associated shows, but aren't exactly wearable in daily life. Michael Kováčik is always an exception, with cast-iron certainty. His collections tend to have flair, they're admirable, sexy, unique and wearable.

The FW19 collection was conducted in a classical and timeless black-and-white style. The first model, worn by Kováčik's muse Aneta Vignerová, completely amazed us right off the bat. Gracefulness, elegance, attractiveness. These are the words we'd use to describe the luxurious pure white model consisting of a long coat, a full plaid, and an effective hat.

End of boredom. Even pants with a shirt can have a star look!

Michael Kováčik FW19 collection won our favor mostly because of its timelessness and perfect combinations. It should be a big inspiration to everyone that not even black formal trousers and a white shirt have to be boring and dull. Interesting cuts along with the use of soft and airy materials will transform even a plain outfit into a luxurious model, in which you'll appear to float in the air like a fairy.

If you keep up with Michael Kováčik's work, you'll know that some of his characteristic trademarks are refined asymmetry and transparent materials. These elements aren't missing from the new collection either. Even though some of the models may seem to have been created with the theme of "neither dressed nor undressed" in mind, they don't lack taste, elegance and the much needed femininity. For us it's really a great inspiration and a work well done. Hats off!

Modern, timeless, wearable!

In our small fashion sphere there really are only very few designers that could attract attention abroad with their work. One of them, however, is definitely Michael Kováčik. His collection is modern, timeless, and for women definitely wearable.

When it comes to daily wear, I was impressed by a grey dress with a plaid pattern. Gathered sleeves are totally trendy and the longer tip of the skirt leaves a lot to your imagination. It may not be clear at first glance, but it's a really sexy piece. Combined with slouchy boots it's perfect. As it would be with gorgeous pumps, of course!

Next thing I fell in love with at first glance was a risque jumpsuit with a luxurious double hat and an oversized jacket. It's really sexy and chic! The only thing ruining it for me is the transparency of the fabric. I'm convinced that if it was a little less transparent, it'd become a hit for the masses!
