Travelling with Elodie Pollet: The Scents of Corsica Suit Sensuous Women
Ellodie Pollet makes luxury perfumes called EUTOPIA for which she derives inspiration through travelling around the world. The perfume called No.4 carries with it the freshness and sensuality of Italy and especially of Corsica.
Energetic and elegant, such are women of the Mediterranean.
"It is generally claimed that Italian women are energetic, sensuous and wild. However, in this area I have more frequently come across women who were very stylish and who had a strongly-developed protectionist instinct. They would protect their family to the last breath. However, this certainly does not mean that they do not turn into divine beauties in the evening. Perfume EUTOPIE No.4 most of all befits just such sensuous women."
The Eutopie No.4 perfume is inspired by the shores of the Mediterranean. It is in particular Corsica and the shores of Italy, i.e places where Ellodie did not live, but which she often visited. Most of all she remembered the locally-growing small dry scrubs which may be seen all around.
Which scents specifically characterise this place?
“These are scents such has the fragrant maquis plant. During my walks I have come across a host of various plant species. That is why the Eutopie No. 4. perfume contains for example the scent of rock rose (cistus). Rock rose is a shrub, which has simple leaves and beautiful regular blossoms. They grow for example in the Canary Islands, but also in Morocco or Algeria. Another characteristic scent of this region are of course citruses. In perfume No.4, you can for example discern the bergamot orange."
Sky-high romance of Italian Campania...
Elodie Pollet loves romance and beautiful places, and that is why she fell in love with the Amalfi coast in the Italian region of Campania. Here the slopes of the hills as if reach deep into the sea, which lends a certain dose of drama to the look. At the same time, these are magic places full of romance.
"I have totally fallen for the Amalfi coast. Perhaps I don´t know more romantic places than such, which you can see in the small coastal villages, such as Amalfi, Positano, Ravello... And it is precisely on the Amalfi coast that I had my most intense experience when travelling around this area. It was the wedding day of my girlfriend. It all seemed to me like a beautiful dream..."
