The festival, which brings this music to a massive and ever-growing public, is considered to be one of the top festivals of its kind. Thanks to it, the capital will come alive with the sound of high quality music offering a broad spectrum of jazz. The programme is packed with concerts, club events and discussions. The festival will be taking place throughout the whole of the capital from 11 to 20 November.
The important Turner Prize has been awarded since 1984, this being one of the most prestigious international awards in the field of fine art. The Turner Prize is awarded to an artist who is under the age of 50 and who was born, lives or works in Great Britain. The prize is awarded for a superb exhibition or public presentation of work anywhere in the world during the previous year. You can admire the works of this year’s four candidates in the Tate Britain gallery until 2 January 2017. The winner will be announced on 6.12.2016.
Hyde Park will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland from 18 November until 2 January next year. This year will already be the tenth time this event has been held, so there really will be some major celebrations.
