Grand Prix of Spain is one of the keenly anticipated Formula One races

The circuit got its name from its location; you may find it in Monmeló near Barcelona, which is the capital of Catalonia.

A total of six gold medals were won here by Michael Schumacher, fastest circuit was achieved by Giancarlo Fisichella from Italy from the Renault stables in 2005 with time of 1:15,641 and the fastest race by Fernando Alonso from the same stables with an total time of 1:26:21,759 hours in 2006. The famous track in the popular tourist destination

The track began to be built in 1989 and in 1991 the Spanish Touring Car Championship was held here. From this time there are also held annual Grand Prix Formula 1 races which were moved here from the city of Jerez. The luxurious circuit features a mix of fast and medium-fast turns as well as a long flat stretch. The track is very diverse so it´s been used by Formula 1 teams for testing for long years now. MotoGP is also held on this circuit.
