Creative genius took the past into his hands
This season, designer Antonio Berardi returns to his roots and draws inspiration from his wonderful parents in the S/S 2018 collection. He follows up on and continued their work. His parents emigrated from Sicily to London and wanted to look their best, so they reworked the clothing they had and their creative ideas got them all the way to the world’s best Fashion Weeks. “They were incredibly poor, relying on relatives in American to send them boxes of used clothes.”

It seems that Antonio Berardi promised all his fans that he would create a collection that underscores the beauty of every office mouse in the world. I simply cannot figure out how Antonio came up with the idea that grey-brown outfits with giant vests could look good on anybody…
Do you want to be invisible and look undesirable? Then you’re at the right address? I even asked my husband for his entirely unbiased male opinion. He said “If she were wearing something like that, I wouldn’t even notice Julia Roberts when she was young…” Yes, dear ladies, these words accurately state the cruel truth.
But to avoid being an uncompromising executioner, I will admit there is one item in the collection that I would wear. It’s the black, rock & roll kissed dress with the almost sheer skirt and lacy neckline. Ideal for an after party with Metallica or Standa Hložek.
