Every country strives to have a luxurious architectural gem. Historical buildings preserve their solemn face and recall archaic times. On the contrary, modern buildings are designed for a brilliant future. The same applies to high-rises.

Lotte World Tower

The Lotte World Tower is a striking landmark in South Korea and with its 555.7 metres, it is the tallest building dominating the creational area of Lotte World near the Hangang River. Its unusual shape (a slim cone with lightly rounded edges) is unlikely to be overlooked by visitors. You can also gaze in awe at the originally designed glass panes in the coloured windows: a silent reference to unforgettable and luxurious Korean pottery.

The building has 123 floors, of which the 1st to 6th floor house a shopping mall, the 7th to 60th floors contain offices, the 61st to 85th floors contain deluxe apartments with equally luxurious views, the 86th to 119th floor house a luxury hotel, and the 120th to 123rd floors are open to the public as a lookout platform with a bird’s eye view of the entire city.

The accessibility of the building is incredible, because the Jamsil metro station is located directly beneath it. This architectural masterpiece is the work of developer Lotte Engineering and Construction, and the building was designed by architect Kohn Pedersen Fox. The building was ceremonially opened in March 2017 in the presence of famous celebrities and grand fireworks. It has been in the works for 13 years and construction work started in 2011.

Technical facilities of the building

A technical particularity is the roof of the building with 3000 tonnes of steel parts connected using a special welding technique. The construction was designed and reinforced to resist an earthquake of up to 9 degrees on the Richter scale and winds of up to 80 m/s.

Unconventional video

Two explorers managed an acrobatic trick which they documented on video. They climbed a crane on the peak of the tower and took unforgettable photos which were used as promotional materials for the hotel.

All in all: South Korea has the 5th tallest building in the world and something to be proud of!

Interior of the house for kids

2 in 1 luxury – playing and learning

Some houses are literally replicas of real buildings from the adult world. What does your child desire? What do they want to be when they grow up? Here are a few answers. It’s no problem to building a fire station with a pole, a doctor’s office or veterinary clinic, a shop or a school. The luxurious bonus about playing in this house is that the kids not only play, but also learn

Give free rein to your fantasy

A very popular example is a house in colonial style with a wooden floor, separate kitchen and pretty attic. Does it seem luxurious? Small houses can also be equipped with electricity, air conditioning and water. They can have their own garden, tower, slide, gate, fence and everything else that belongs to a house. When the little owner walks in, they are in for a big surprise – everything looks almost exactly like a real house.

House of dreams by La Petite Maison

La Petite Maison specialises in creating beautiful, particularly luxurious play houses, from charming chalets to grandiose Mediterranean villas. They represent the desire to ensure safety, support small crafts and showcase beauty. If you wish, you can request a replica of your own house, including a children’s kitchen, reading room or media room. The houses are built directly on your land, and you can rest assured that this unique product will be a stunning ornament in your garden. The company cooperates with two acclaimed designers: Alan Mowrer and Michelle Pollak. Interior designer Michelle Pollak believes that “good taste should start early” and that a well-designed setting is essential to support children’s creativity, emotional wellbeing and physical health.

Question of the future

And when the kids grow up, the parents can convert the “play house” into an office or wine cellar. Good plan, don’t you think?
