Aston Martin: Results of the Combination of English Tradition and Italian Innovation
Aston Martin has manufactured luxurious cars already since 1913, when the car factory was established in English Gaydon. It became famous thanks to James Bond who has been saving the world in these cars for many years. It joined forces with Zagato from Milan in the 1960s and, as their unique models testify, this connection was truly fateful.
Aston Martin Zagato Coupé
The luxurious Aston Martin Zagato Coupé was introduced this May in Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, where it immediately stole the heart of many car lovers. This social event takes place each year and introduces the best cars from private collections, as well as new concepts. Aston Martin Zagato Coupé was introduced here merely as an idea, which however came to life only a month later. To the astonishment of the audience, Aston Martin and Zagato announced that this design will in fact enter the production.
Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante
A few months later, on the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance charity automobile event that took place in August, the company surprised the public with a new masterpiece – the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante. It is a sister model of the abovementioned coupé and both cars have similar design and body color.
Vanquish Zagato Volante has a power of 600 hp and a folding roof. Its luxurious interior is very similar to the coupé but combines light brown leather with carbon fibers.
Limited edition of 99 cars
The luxurious coupé as well as the passionate cabriolet will be manufactured in a limited edition of 99 cars and new owners of these vehicles will be able to drive them starting next year. The price of these jewels is not known yet, but will surely exceed CZK 13,000,000.
