Salvador Dalí and Elsa Schiaparelli as inspiration
For the implementation of this courageous creation Anna Sui found inspiration in the designs of and the world of the designer Elsa Schiaparelli, who along with other people who moved around her, such as Salvador Dalí, Cecil Beaton or Christian Bérard, represented the creative icon of the 20th Century.
Anna Sui was excited about how these people worked together and supported each other. In her collection, she tried to capture the creative spirit and the glamorous charm of café society during the wars, the exotic past in its fantastic form and hope for a romantic future.
Velvet, luxurious lace, patterns
The Fall 2017 collection is wrapped in undeniable charm replete with dominating velvet and lightweight web-like materials. It is accompanied by interesting tweed hats, stunning sunglasses gold colour and Elizabethan lace. You will also find there gems, baroque handbags, floral stockings, distinctive brooches and luxurious ruffles for wearing around the neck.
A collection that had always been expected
Already when she was four years old Anna Sui had decided to become a fashion designer and ever since then she has followed her dream and we are grateful for it. Anna Sui and her new collections are always a certainty that does not bore anyone. Anna always takes you off on an incredibly creative journey into the world of luxurious fashion.
Fall 2017 is no exception. Watching a fashion catwalk where she is with her models is simply an experience in itself.
