Banks and building societies provided mortgages worth 25.5 billion crowns in January, which is a 13 percent increase compared to January. In year-on-year terms, the growth of the volume of mortgages provided in February slowed to 62 percent from January's 72 percent. The number of new mortgages in February reached 5277, which is 37 percent more than a year ago.
