The unique Hello, Robot exhibition: where is artificial intelligence heading?

Thanks to digitisation, the world of robotics is finding itself with completely different dimensions over the course of a few decades. This often concerns sophisticated solutions to offer people a “smarter” more luxurious way of life or to make their work easier. But this does not concern only robots which are able to clean up after us. They are able to build household appliances and cars etc.
The luxurious Vitra Design Museum
An exhibition entitled Hello, Robot has opened in the German city of Weil am Rheim in the Vitra Design Museum. This exhibition shows how the robotics trend of today is transforming our lives.
You can meet face to face here with dozens of robots which perform various functions. The exhibition focuses on all aspects of the world of robotics. You will find there the past, the present and also the future of robotics on all imaginary levels. The window on the past is a special exhibit taking you back to the world of robots in the eighties. One of the greatest attractions of the exhibition also comes from this period, the legendary and luxurious robot R2D2 from the world-famous Star Wars.
What else can you look forward to?
You can look forward to 200 luxurious exhibits. The exhibition includes robots which you can find in the ordinary household and also robots from the CES trade fair in Las Vegas which are registering an enormous boom, as well as various machines used in industry, transport and much more. Not even the world of computer games has escaped the reach of robotics.
And if you long to see a work built directly by robots, all you need do is go and have a look at the luxurious and unique bionic awning known as the Elytra Filament Pavilion in Stuttgart, which was built with the aid of robots using the respective algorithms.
I ask myself: “Will the world or robotics ever grow to an uncontrollable level. Could it ever happen that a robot becomes more than a human being?”
