How the famous live: Villa Maggio, previously owned by Frank Sinatra, went up for sale for 90 million crowns.

The multi-talented Frank Sinatra, who devoted himself not only to singing but also to acting, longed for a place where he could relax undisturbed every now and then. Yet at the same time, he loved company and exuberant parties. He kept both of these factors in mind when building Villa Maggio. Facilities that include a swimming pool, sauna or tennis court can match that of luxury hotels. Next to the main house, there is a two-storey guest house with three apartments. Each apartment is equipped with a kitchenette, a bathroom, a private terrace and a fireplace. The residence is literally made for visits and epic parties. The name "Villa Maggio" was inspired by the name of Sinatra's character from the movie "From Here to Eternity", for which he won an Oscar.

Use of local resources

The materials used to build the residence come from local sources, just like the wood and natural stone, which can be found in the garden. Part of the garden is designed as a rock garden. Aesthetically, it fits perfectly into the desert environment. Wide, overhanging eaves provide enough shade and reduce the ecological footprint. The California climate makes having a pool a necessity, and you'll find one in the garden. The new owner will thus be able to have fun in the water during the hottest days.

Period interior

Natural materials predominate throughout the house. Wooden floors, a fireplace and vaulted ceilings with wooden beams give the residence a cosy atmosphere. The interior is decorated in a rustic style and reflects the personality of Frank Sinatra. The residence was designed by architect Ross Patton, but the singer was responsible for the design. Because the interior has remained almost unchanged, you can almost hear immortal hits such as I Love You Baby, Somethin' Stupid or Killing Me Softly inside these walls.

Comfort on the first place

Big family? No problem! You can spend the night in one of the five bedrooms. Each of them comes with a private bathroom. You don't have to worry about not having your own space here. In every room, luxury goes hand in hand with comfort. Much like the other rooms, the bedrooms are decked in wood and the walls are adorned with period paintings.

Panoramic views

Villa Maggio is located high above the valley. Due to the altitude at which it lies, the climate is milder than in the desert valley below and the sky is cloudless almost all day. The view from the window offers a vista of breathtaking scenery. No wonder that large windows are the dominant feature of every room! Equally interesting is the bathroom with a large bathtub and amazing views.

Sports enthusiasts will really love the place. The complex has its own tennis court. And Sinatra knew well how important muscle relaxation was after sports. Therefore, in addition to the pool, the house includes two saunas.
