Selected households in almost a hundred municipalities across the country will be able to take part in a pilot census during September and October. With their involvement, they will help statisticians with the preparation and smooth running of the Census 2021, which will take place in the spring of next year. The pilot census will begin on September 1 with information visits by the Czech Post's census commissioners with the aim of informing selected households about their inclusion in the project.
"The pilot census is an important test for us. We plan to verify the proposed procedures on which the real census will be based next year,"
says Ondřej Škorpil, director of the transformation and technology department of the Czech Post. The director of the CZSO's Statistics and Population Department and the factual manager of the Census 2021 project, Robert Šanda, confirms his words.
"Each census is preceded by several years of preparation, and the pilot census represents an imaginary final rehearsal with the participation of the audience. The more households we've approached choose to participate, the better. Not only for the future success of the census next spring, but mainly for the inhabitants of our country."
Seventeen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who decided to take justice into his own hands, fatally shooting two people and wounding a third during demonstrations in Kenosha, found support with US President Donald Trump.
"He was trying to get away from them, I guess, it looks like... And then he fell down and they violently attacked him. I think he was in very big trouble... He probably would have been killed,"
Donald Trump explained at the briefing why, according to his opinion, Kyle Rittenhouse had decided to fire several fatal shots at the protesters. The wave of protests and demonstrations occurred after a black man, Jacob Blake, had been shot by the police seven times in Wisconsin. As an adult, Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with two first-degree murders and one attempted murder.
