The ball season is slowly but surely coming to an end, and so the famous strive to make the best use of the last opportunity to dance through the night, chug galons of champagne, show off their luxury gowns and party till the morning hours. This time, the celebrities headed to Prague's Rudolfinum. Would you like to know how beautiful Nikol Švantnerová, bloggger Shopaholic Nicol, Taťána Gregor Brzobohatá or Mahulena Bočanová looked like? Then you cannot miss today's Fashion Upstream!
Gorgeous, gorgeous and once again gorgeous. Nikol Švantnerová is fortunate in that the Poner siblings always conjure up such a jaw-dropping dress for her that everyone around her can but stare in awe. The asymmetrical silver gown emphasizing her wasp-waist and slim figure is no exception. The flawless jewelry and pochette are just the icing on the cake.
It seems like everyone who chose to wear silver for the event at Rudolfinum stole the limelight. The singer Kateřina Mátlová also looked absolutely divine, which was to be expected, since she rarely makes a dresscode blunder. This beauty has fashion in her blood.
Miss World 2006 wore a minimalist dress from Zuzana Kubíčková, which she complemented with luxury Gismondi jewelry. Looking at her, we immediately found ourselves on Jay Gatsby's dance floor and could manage only the word WOW. What scares us a little, though, is the dangerously twisted ankle. The sight of it literally makes us feel Taťána's pain!
Who else but the distinctive Tonya Graves could afford to donne the princess gown in wild green from Miroslav Bárta? We enjoyed her model very much - in a flood of silver, black and white, it was a sight for sore eyes.
Tennis player Barbora Strýcová resigned from wearing long trains and skirts and donned a midi model from Dolce & Gabbana instead. We've been familiar with this dress for some time now and have admired it from the first moment it appeared on the catwalk. Obviously, we are not going to stop anytime soon!
Once again, model Pavlína Němcová proved that you can't go wrong with black. The dress in a beautiful and flattering style fits her perfectly and we also commend the smooth hairstyle that goes well with the gown.
Popular actress Mahulena Bočanová couldn't miss the ball at the Rudolfinum either. She opted for a black robe strewn with flowers that might ever so slightly remind you of a dressing gown, but we don't mind at all. This style suits Mahulena and we have to admit that at fifty-five years of age, she's smoking hot!
It seems like nobody's ever going to see Inna Puhajková attending an event in a dress from any other designer but Sandra Mark. Yes, the young designer does create top-notch evening gowns, but there's a catch... Inna unmistakeably picks one and the same type of dress over and over, and it's starting to get old. So, even though Inna was indeed quite beautiful, we clamor for a change!
If there was someone whose dress left absolutely no impression on us, it's definitely Gabriela Partyšová. We can't point out anything in particular that was wrong about the dress from Zuzana Lešák Černá, but overall it's nothing but boring and not even the sexy slit or passionate red color could change that.
Markéta Hrubešová's dress looks to us kind of like a parody of a glamorous and luxurious evening gown. In the first picture, we thought okay, this actually isn't all that bad... But when we saw the second one, the cheesiness hit us with full force and we began to wonder who the hell had come up with the idea to turn an apron into a ball gown?!
It is nice of blogger and presenter Nikola Čechová to support the brand WWO, which designs variable shirts and dresses with regard to sustainable resources, but on the red carpet and the spectacular ball to Rudolfinum, but a model like this simply isn't appropriate for the red carpet! In addition, it makes her look unnecessarily mature in the non-flattering sense.
I suppose I don't quite fit in with the typical admirers of Nikol Švatnerová. I never liked her much, yet I understand why people keep fawning about her. She has the body of a goddess, not an extra ounce of fat on her, thanks to which she'd look great even in a fishing apron! And this dresses is truly breathtaking! Nikol, you look beautiful in it, indescribably gorgeous, and I think all the women felt like throwing themselves under the train after the ball. Once again, the Poners have created a model that every woman would want to have in her closet! Unfortunately, not every woman has a figure with which she could afford to wear it.
I love Bára Nesvadbová for her detached view and humour, she is just an overall enjoyable person. Recently, she attended another ball than the one at the Rudolfinum, and she wore an amazing red dress by Táňa Kovaříková, which made her look ten years younger. She was pretty hot! But this pajamas? It makes you look wider and shorter than you are! The pouchette is completely wrong. Sigh! And who did your hair, Bára?! Off with the hairdresser's head! He turned you into an aging lady approaching retirement!
The first thing that popped up in my head was: "Which cabaret did Petra come from?" Some might consider it sexy, but it's too cheap for my taste. I can't help myself. No elegance whatsoever. Any minute now, Petra could start dancing cancan!
I understand that Nikol probably wanted to hide the extra pounds, but this dress had rather the opposite effect. I wonder how many articles have already been written about her pregnancy? I bet some smartass of a journalist has already asked her about it. I'm 99% sure she's not actually pregnant, but the dress definitely leaves room for speculation!
So as not to be entirely critical, Tonya Graves is simply breathtaking in this dress. Green suits her and the cut of the dress matches her temperament perfectly. One would have thought that she'd get lost in that dress, tiny as she is, but it makes her look elegant and mischievous at the same time! And I can feel a wave of optimism and joy emenating from her, what with those eyes! I also enjoy the combination with red glasses and the pouchette! Sadly, the same cannot be said of the green "creature", Markéta Hrubešová! Where did the sexy redhead diva disappear to?
