Mark the date June 1, 2020 in your calendars. That's when the official opening of the exhibition takes place. It will run until August 31, 2020. Frida Kahlo's breathtaking works will be on display at the premises of the astonishing Cleve Carney Museum of Art in Chicago.

The luxury exhibition boasts 26 selected works borrowed from the Museo Dolores Olmedo in Mexico City. We can also tell you that you'll get to see not only a luxurious selection of oil paintings, works drawn on paper or more than 100 photographs, but also a special treat that the curators prepared for visitors: an elaborate multimedial timeline of the artist's life, a video presentation and even her clothes.
You'll have Frida's world literally on the palm of your hand, experiencing her intimate confessions, personal struggles, memories, identity issues, the subject of sexuality and death first hand. Frida Kahlo drew the ideas for her work from a tumultuous relationship with the painter Diego Rivera, as well as from a lifelong pain that stemmed from her childhood, when she'd nearly lost her life in a bus accident.

How much will it cost?
There are two types of tickets available. In the online presale you can get a ticket without a time limit for 800 crowns. A time ticket, when you choose a specific date and time, costs 400, which won't be a huge strain on your wallet. All that remains is a plane ticket. You can fly to Chicago and back for approximately CZK 10,000.
