A masquerade ball. That's probably the only place where you can can wear the designs by the brave creative figure and American designer Rick Owens with clear conscience. The designer, who's lived in Paris for many years, loves oversized cuts and dramatics and this is the spirit of the new SS20 collection as well.

Go bald!

Don't look for any enlightenment in the new SS20 collection. The models, presenting partially bald heads during the show, weren't supposed to bring attention to any terminal illness, or anything of the like. Rick Owens simply decided to liven the show up with something.

Leave the trimmer to Johnson or Statham

It's been a while since this trend blew up considerably among people and we could come across women with shaved heads on the streets regularly. It's fortunately also been a while since we stopped coming across them. Let's be honest, this simply doesn't look good on anyone, whether you shave the left side of your head, the right, the top or the bottom. The only ones who can pull it off are people like Dwayne Johnson or Jason Statham, but definitely not you.

Fashion from space

Beside this "trendy" hairstyle, Rick Owens introduced outfits with sculpted silhouettes, pompous hats and sunglasses that made the models look like visitors from another galaxy.

Some of Rick Owens' collections include ready-to-wear pieces too.

Time for color

We must, however, compliment the range of color featured in the SS20 collection. It includes shades of pink, gold, red, ochre, black and rainbow colors. Luxurious metallic sheen is also essential here.

Hooves got second wind

Rick Owens completed the SS20 outfits with shoes on extremely high platforms. Did you go back to the 90's in your thoughts, remembering the abhorrent "hooves" that even the popular Spice Girls wore? It seems that one of the worst kind of footwear in history got second wind!

Where's Dáda? I see The Visitors!

I wonder what kind of drugs Rick Owens is on. Not that I'd want some too, definitely not, I prefer more delicate materials, but I cannot explain it any other way than him being in a different, very faraway world when creating these models. He may have just boarded a flying saucer and had himself transported to king Klacek's planet. Another explanation might be that he saw the Czech movie The Visitors, and was entranced by Dáda Patrasová, who used to be our perfect femme fatale.

And yet, when you have a look at the internet and google the name Rick Owens, you come across rather okay models, jackets. This must have been some sort of an intoxicated mistake. People says that Parisians have taste, but this American may be ruining his reputation over there.

Professor Snape.

When I started to look at the models in detail and my 3-year-old niece saw me, she asked me whether the models were sick, because they had no hair. When I said they weren't, that they were forced to walk the runway like this by a man who looks like Professor Snape from Slytherin House from Harry Potter, she began to cry. An interesting reaction from a small, still innocent child.

I feel that a woman who is neither sick nor a lesbian should have hair. Period. There's nothing more to say about that.

Festival boots

If I'm going to a Prodigy concert, I'll definitely go for these tall platform boots. I'll see better because they'll make me taller, and if Letná happens to be muddy, I won't care. These boots can take anything. And if somebody's pissing me off, I'll stomp on their foot...

Holiday in Egypt

When my beloved asks me where I'd like to go for holiday, I'll say Egypt. But something really luxurious, some serious five stars. Then I'll call Rick and tell him that I'll wear all the models from this collection there. The Egyptians will worship me and it will be good business for Rick. I don't think you can wear these clothes anywhere else.

Hopefully they won't mistake me for some kind of ancient prostitute. Because I'm a goddess!

Needle in a haystack

Like, honestly? I'm looking for a single thing that I could praise. I have to really try, it's a big struggle. Nonetheless... I like the yellow and the gold. I can imagine wearing the yellow dress, the last one in the gallery, if I wore it as a bathrobe while getting out of the tub. Or as a tent in nature. But those tiny flies go after yellow, so probably not.

A long vest has never been a misstep for anyone. You can wear it on top of anything, be it a nice top or a cotton T-shirt. Combine it with plain jeans and heels and you have a nice outfit for the office, for example.

In conclusion, I'd like to say - feel free to take drugs when you have a creative soul and can't get by without them, but dear god, don't bother other people with it. This is seriously a waste of everything - time, material, models, spectators. Please, let me know, whoever's bought something of his, I want to see it.
