IconSiam is a new, luxury complex spreading on an area of 750 000 m2 on the bank of the river Chao Phraya in Bangkok. It is a center for shopping, entertainment and luxurious hosptality services, including michelin star rated restaurants. You’ll find the typical floating markets, a museum and more than 1000 stores including the first, Thai apple store. Apart from having the possibility to shop and be entertained, you can also live there!
It is the greatest Thai, commercial property project that has been built yet, and it cost the developers 1.65 billion USD.
The IconSiam complex contains 2 residential towers: Magnolias Waterfront Residence, consisting of 70 floors and 379 apartment units and the first, brand residential project in South-east Asia, Mandarin Oriental, consisting of 146 luxury apartment units and 52 floors. And the price? The price of a two-room apartment in the tower is set at 2.58 million USD, which comes to about 60 000 000 Kč.
IconSiam has a total of 8 floors and is divided into 3 parts – the main part, Iconsiam, the glamour part Iconluxe filled with luxury brand retailers right at the bank and road side of Siam Takahimaya. There are more built-in zones there. One of which is IconCraft, where two floors are filled by traditional and quality, Thai crafts. Another area of note is SookSiam, which is aimed at promoting Thai arts, culture and cuisine from 77 various provinces. Part of this zone is the already mentioned floating market.
A new Imax cinema was opened in December of last year and a massive auditorium for important meetings is to open in July. The River Museum Bangkok, which will host world exhibitions should also open this year.
