The name Robert Vano is known all over the world. He was born in Slovakia, but achieved success in the USA, where he emigrated at the age of 18. He worked as a hairdresser, make-up artist and assistant of famous photographers such as Horst P. Horst and Marco Glaviano across the Atlantic.
Since 1984, he has been working independently as a photographer, meeting famous people, taking photos for world-famous luxury fashion magazines, and exhibiting his photos in many galleries. He moved to Prague in 1995. Among other things, he was appointed director of the agency Czechoslovak Models, a position which he maintained until 2009.
Robert Vano is a fashion and advertising photographer and his work focuses primarily on black-and-white photographs he takes on a classic film. He collaborates with leading companies and his amazing pictures have been exhibited in prestigious galleries in New York, London, Milan and Prague. And it is here in our capital that you can see his art today.
