Balmain is a very popular brand and thanks to Olivier Rousteing it became even more so. The fun marketing strategy is certainly a good move. And it is not just virtual reality; the Balmain brand is preparing to make a film about Rousteiong called The Wonder Boy, which should come into cinemas in 2019 and should even appear at the Cannes Film Festival.
Currently, Balmain has 16 boutiques around the world, but the plan is to open another 30 within the next 5 years. And do so in such destinations like Miami, Hong Kong, Las Vegas or Beijing. Next year it is to open a second boutique in Paris on the street Saint-Honoré, to be found between the hotels Costes and Mandarin Oriental.
