The young and ambitious fashion designer Michael Kováčik was at his best at the MBPFW. His FW18 collection is full of luxurious airy dresses, leather details and, naturally, minimalist pieces that will delight every modern and elegant woman. Monika Babišová did not want to miss out on the timeless collection and arrived in a youthful model that suited her very well.
After last year's Fashion Week, where his favorite model Simona Krainová reigned, this time the designer bet on the charm of his good friend and successful model Aneta Vignerová. And it was a wise decision. The flared royal blue dress accentuated Aneta’s beautiful figure and she sold it perfectly. In addition to her model, the others were very luxurious and chic also.
Kováčik really knows how to captivate women. In his luxurious FW18 collection, he introduced beautiful female models that highlight and accentuate flawless curves. There were dresses in royal blue, black, cream and also the karo pattern. In short, colours that one can match with anything. The choice of models is very wide. The collection includes elegant and luxurious dresses as well as trousers, coats, long asymmetric shirts, pajama-style ladies suits and more. We also enjoyed the furry scarf around the neck and the matching leather details. Unconventional unstructured boots and gloves represent ideal minimalist glamour for autumn and winter weather.
Michael truly enjoys designing men’s clothing. It’s because here, he isn’t usually designing for clients, but rather for himself. The outfits are therefore a reflection of his taste. His favourite simple shirts, trousers with interesting cuts and elegant coats in royal blue, purple or black – though he claims that the men's pieces in his collection are not so important for him in terms of sales, surely there will be a lot of men who will be interested in the luxury FW18 collection.
The young designer Michael Kováčik was one of the few at the MBPFW to really surprise me. Finally, there is something to look at and, at the same time, one can choose something to wear that will not make him/her look like a scarecrow on the march.
The event was attended by many well-known faces which, for a few years, has included the wife of Andrej Babiš, Monika. She arrived in what we call today, in the case of people in their forties (i.e. my mother), a "youthful" YSL blazer, a white printed T-shirt, jeans and other accessories that young people wear nowadays. However, it all looked very good on her and I hope that one day I will also find the right plastic surgery clinic somewhere in Nice.
And what was the best dress of the entire Kováčik show? Definitely the one worn by my dear Aneta Vignerová! The flared night-blue with a narrow waist and black unfastened boots (the only thing that was a bit off) and the torn sleeve: TOP! It was simply full of energy and I like that! Also, I cannot forget to mention the perfectly cut black blazer with thin white strips. WOW!
