Gowns with crystals are an absolute hit!
After seeing the Jenny Packham wedding collection, I’ve decided that this designer should focus exclusively on weddings. Finally, I see something other than tonnes of brown, grey, khaki and unflattering cuts, starting with jackets.
I’ve already had my wedding, but nevertheless I would choose from those dresses (even for a church wedding, which we didn’t have). I like clean lines and long trains, so all those mini gowns a la “let’s get married at Elvis’s chapel” go right by me.
The absolute hit for me is the gown with the deep neckline embellished with crystals, where the decorated hem starts on the shoulders and goes all the way down the back around the waist. The skirt is so loose that the bride will feel unbound and free even after she says yes. They also look very comfortable and wearable all day, which I consider a major plus. If there is one thing I hate, it’s when the bride changes practically into a sweat-suit immediately after the ceremony, thus ruining the festive atmosphere of the day.
