Marc Newson and his collaboration with Louis Vuitton
Marc Newson is regarded as the most influential designer of today, among others collaborating with the Montblanc brand and creating modern designs in all fields. This is why he was chosen by Louis Vuitton as the chief designer for its luxurious new collection of luggage. Marc already collaborated with the Louis Vuitton brand in 2014 when he designed a “Celebrating Monogram” bag.
The special Rolling Luggage collection is now being introduced, a collection which Marc Newson spent 18 months developing.
What interesting things will Rolling Luggage offer?
A shiny trolley made from rigid aluminium provides a sturdy frame for this luxury luggage. The lid of the suitcase can be opened through 180 degrees. The zip has one slider and the luggage is equipped with a 3-digit aluminium combination lock. The wheels ensure silent operation and rotate through 360°, this ensuring stability and smooth movement. The corners and the handle are protected with natural cowhide as is now traditional for Louis Vuitton designs.
For the time being, this luggage is available in two cabin-friendly sizes: 50 (50 x 35 x 20 cm) and 55 (55 x 39 x 21 cm). Size 50 weighs only 2.7 kg. Size 70 will be added to the range in the future, this being intended for storage in the hold.
