Louboutin inspired by Star Wars
Did you know that Christian Louboutin is a Star Wars fan? To celebrate the premiere of the new episode The Last Jedi, the famous shoemaker has joined forces with Disney and Lucasfilm to create four luxurious pairs of shoes for women.

Rey, Admiral Holdo, Captain Phasma and Rose Tico
Four pairs of shoes which are inspired by the four main heroes. The shoes have been sent to auction and the proceeds will be donated to the Starlight children’s foundation which supports seriously ill children in hospitals under the banner of Star Wars: Force for Change.
Shoes in the style of Rey – Daisy Ridley
Beautiful and luxurious sandals which are decorated with a brown leather ankle strap, see-through PVC with a luxurious large stone emphasising the power of the wearer. The heels are adorned with beautiful little crystals which are supposed to depict a light sabre.
Vice Admiral Amylin Holdo – Laura Dern
These unique high heels in plum also look irresistible! The material and decoration on the shoes imitates the style of the costume worn by Holdo in the film.
Captain Phasma – Gwendoline Christie
These cosmic shoes in a wonderful silver colour are very elegant, original and interesting. You will fall in love with the metallic colour scheme at first sight. The cross straps imitate the shape of the armour worn by the captain.
Rose Tico – Kelly Marie Tran
This Star Wars newcomer has also been given her own pair of shoes and we must say that they are one of our favourite pairs. The burgundy block heel looks absolutely exceptional in combination with luxury gold.
Each pair from the LOUBOUTINS edition is signed by the designer himself and by the Star Wars actress who inspired the pair. Whoever bids the most for the shoes at auction will be able to take them home and also gain the opportunity to visit the Lucasfilm headquarters where they will be able to view a special screening of The Last Jedi in San Francisco. It is just a pity that the prize does not also include accommodation. The winner will have to pay for that himself or herself.

Right at the start, I must admit that I am definitely not a Star Wars fan. I know that it is a cult blockbuster, but it is so long ... and I would fall asleep with boredom watching it while my husband is mesmerised. But despite my aversion, I must admit that this collection of shoes by Louboutin is amazing!
My favourites are the “Captain Phasma” shoes: metallic bronze, the mini brooch and that incredibly alluring bow which encircles the ankle. WOW! In shoes like that, I would even overcome my aversion and head out to the cinema to watch the new Star Wars episode!
The other pair of shoes which I find spellbinding are those in the style of Rey. The PVC which blends into the leather strap looks so bizarre that it actually manages to pull it off fantastically. In my opinion, this is such a unique pair of shoes that they deserve rather to end up in a display case. I will keep my mouth shut about the rest of the collection because that is too galactic for my liking …
