Lincoln Continental represents a series of luxury cars which are manufactured under the Lincoln brand, a division of the Ford Motor Company. This luxury king of the road was first introduced to the world in 1939 as a car which extended the segment of luxury cars.
In its model range, the Lincoln Continental came in many forms. Over the course of its production, it changed its bodywork, including a two-door or four-door model.
Ford manufactured the first generation of the Continental in 1956 under the name Continental Mark II and the newly created Continental division was introduced at the same time. This was the most expensive car Ford had ever launched on the market until that time. Between 1961 and 1976, the Lincoln Continental Mark series was the only model which the division sold.
After 2002, manufacturing was discontinued and replaced by the Lincoln Town car and Lincoln LS series.
After a hiatus of 15 years, the Lincoln Continental is to be manufactured again and the new models will take up the baton from the Lincoln MKS. The new concept for the luxury car was introduced at the auto show in New York in 2015. Lincoln Continental 2017 is a four-door saloon based on a Ford CD4 platform.
The new Lincoln Continental has a typical characteristic – a robust chrome radiator grille. Atypical E-Latch doors stick out from the chrome window trim and you will find LED fog lamps in the front bumper.
The interior meets all of the demands of the discerning client, something which customers of Lincoln most certainly are. The Perfect Positron seats took inspiration from the seats found in private jets and you can adjust them in 30 directions to achieve the absolute level of comfort. The car is equipped with a Revel audio system with Stereo, Audience and On Stage modes and also the highest quality safety system.
