St. Moritz is a luxurious ski resort which among other things is famed for its snow polo tournament. This has been held here every year since 1985. 2018 will be no exception to the rule: the famous Swiss resort St. Moritz will be transformed into a centre for the Snow Polo World Cup from 26 until 28 January.
The first ever winter polo tournament was held on the frozen St. Moritz lake in 1985, when teams from the far-flung corners of the wold battled it out for the Cartier Trophy. This tournament is a unique tournament held in the snow which is organised on a high professional level.
Competitors and onlookers can thus enjoy a unique atmosphere for three days in the year surrounded by amazing scenery with snow-covered mountains in the Engadin Valley. This society event held on a frozen lake has no equivalent anywhere in the world. The prestigious event also offers fitting luxury accommodation in the first-class hotels in the St. Moritz resort. One of the most luxurious is the famous Badrutt's Palace which offers wonderful views over the lake and the mountain panorama.
The names of the sponsors are also testament to the fact that the World Cup is an event organised on an extremely high professional level. These include luxury brands such as Cartier, Maserati and the above-mentioned luxury hotel Badrutt's Palace among others.
There are of course also accompanying events, a VIP tent and parties held all over the luxury resort. Simply put, the last weekend in January is different from all the others and something absolutely exceptional in every way!
