You don’t need to travel the world to experience something unique. Even our country offers breathtaking sites. One such site is a unique viewing place, located near the mountain cottage Slaměnka in the vicinity of the upper station of the Sněžník cable car in Kralický Sněžník. You can reach it on foot, using the cable car or on a bike.
The trail is 55 meters high and offers luxurious views of the Morava river valley, the Kralický Sněžník mountain, the Krkonoše ridge and Jeseník. Visitors often feel like they’re in another world.
This unique structure, which looks like a snake winding up to the sky, has been designed by the Fránek Architects studio. It includes several attractions, such as a slide, nets and nests that are loved by all adventurers and fan of heights.
The structure is also unique in the materials used, selected so as not to disturb the surrounding environment. It is made from wood (larch from Austrian Alps that grows at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level) with steel elements and the whole building is as transparent as possible. If you fear heights, there are two options. You can overcome your fear or you can avoid the trail.
The original Trail in the Sky is located at 1116 meters above sea level, the wooden walkway is 710 meters long, the slide 100 meters long. The tower can withstands 200 kph winds and can carry up to 4000 evenly distributed people.
This unique lookout is recognized in the field of architecture both domestically and abroad – it was nominated for the European Union Architecture Award. When discovering the beauty of the Czech Republic, you may find luxury at unexpected places!
