The new sneakers by Malaysian designer Jimmy Choo are intended to all aficionados of ostentation and refined urban lifestyle. Diamond Sneakers represent a new generation of sneakers, unlike anything seen before. They combine a lightweight design with an endless brilliant sparkle - you are sure to fall in love with this luxury piece! Are you ready to light up your wardrobe and make a new addition to your shoe arsenal?
In the luxury limited collection, Jimmy Choo has prepared 3 models for you in total, while the most expensive and the most exclusive piece are sneakers set with crystals. The price tag is EUR 2,995, i.e. a little less than 80,000 crowns. Does it seem to you that there is a touch too much shine and sparkle on this pair? Do not despair. In the market there are two more designs now - a little more minimalist versions.
In addition to the luxury piece set with crystals, Jimmy Choo included in his limited collection also a pair of white calf leather and a model with silver metallic finish. The sole remains transparent, as in the case of the first of the models. These two versions are somewhat simpler, which is reflected in the price. They may be had for EUR 695, i.e. approximately 18,000 crowns. That is a huge difference, isn´t it?
It is creative director of Jimmy Choo, designer Sandra Choi, who stands behind the luxurious treasures in the style of sparkling diamonds. We more than like the new generation of sneakers and we look forward to seeing what will the talented fashion designer come up with the next time round!
From my point of view, the new line of sneakers by the Jimmy Choo fashion brand is the flop of the year - in every aspect. How could I put it as clearly as possible: in short, please could someone put a stop to those hideous high soles on sneakers? It has been three years ago when this trend was started by misguided Kanye West in his hideous collection, Yeezy Season 1. And now the rest of the world has to follow; from Balenciaga all the way to Jimmy Choo…
The giant minus of this collection is especially that absolutely impractical colour of the shoes. Snow-white, metallic silver or the crystal option in combination with a transparent UFO sole?! Try to walk down the Wenceslas square and you will see yourself what silliness it is for 80,000 crowns! No, this is not a good purchase.
And to conclude, we have here the last and perhaps the worst consequence of wearing these sneakers. When you look closely, you will see that those thick soles spread into the sides, too. The result is that optically your elegant legs will be transformed into sticks with hooves on the ground. In my opinion therefore - NEVER EVER, Sandra Choi.
